The Rusty Guide to WarPhobia Central by Rusty Guntz |
Welcome to Rusty's Guide to WarPC ! Yes , as this website begins anew , there are significant changes to the site . First things first , a trip down memory lane ..... WarPC began was a website that started 3 months ago . Upon it's first days of release , it was known simply as Warphobia . Back then the site existed on a different URL and began it's humble days as an experimental site for all irreverence . Started by the author , the website's first articles were written by own very own Chris Claverovet who is the most senior staff here .

Below is the original blue sphere logo of WarPC ..... back then it was simply titled WC . And above is the original red text of WC .

Together , the magical combination of both these logos gave way to confused visitors thinking WC was a medical site due to it's red white and blue nature . Alas things slowly evolved and gave way to an alternative color solution . As the above , the new WC logo did not resemble the original blue sphere at all , instead the new design carried a flag shaped figure with a white 'WC' in the center - in many ways resembles the current WarPC logo . As well , the red text was appropriately changed to blue .
Now the new WarPC has given way to a darker look and feel whilst maintaining the light nature of the site . Which brings me to the interface of the site . Much of the design of the site is carried over from it's precursor , though significant changes have been made . The most significant one being the usage of frames . If you look to your left , you will see the general navigation bar which will take you to the various links . Towards the extreme top left you will notice the glowing WarPC logo , click on it and it will bring you back to the main page . You might have seen some movement with the logos and the nav bar when you entered the page . If you didn't then you should download the latest browsers . Why that happened ? Well , the site also uses DHTML effects to make the various 'graphical effects' .
Finally there is a new addition to the ensemble - being the War Journal . This section is especially handled by our author and has been in the works ever since the site first launched 3 months ago . The preview to this section is the Prologue , even though is 3 months old , was scheduled to be taken off in favor of the new War Journal section . But after days of debate between the staff , we agreed that the prologue deserves to stay since it was one of the first articles posted on the site . Now WarPC , the fruit of many hours of labour is finally our dream come true . Please enjoy WarPC , the site of all irreverence !
